Tamoxifen is considered to be one of the most effective SERMs or Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators.  What that means is that Tamoxifen has a strong anti-estrogen effect. In bodybuilding, Tamoxifen plays a big role in Post Cycle Therapy (PCT).

Tamoxifen is very effective at obstructing the effect of estrogen. This makes it a favored selection of body builders, especially those that take various other anabolic steroids such as Dianabol.
